There is an on-going collection basket in the Narthex of the Church, which accepts dry food supplies weekly. Every week a parishioner takes down these food items and donates them to the Clinton Food Pantry. The Open Cupboard of Clinton is in need of food and household paper/cleaning products. They are serving an increasing number of clients who are experiencing extended periods of unemployment and those whose benefits checks don't extend enough to cover food for the month. You can help by donating non-perishable foods (canned food, dry or box food); paper/cleaning products; or making a purchase at the Open Cupboard. Caroline Iler is a volunteer there and will be happy to speak to you about donations of time and talent.
Food Pantry Express
"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat,…"
Have you noticed all the wonderful donations in the Food Pantry Express on Sunday mornings? I love seeing the children pulling that wagon down the aisle for a blessing. The donations are certainly a blessing to those who must use the Food Pantry for some basic necessities each month.
The Feed a Family program is run once or twice a year. Bags are provided and are located next to the wagon if you want to fill one to Feed A Family (FAF) for a day. Our last FAF drive was quite successful but we don't need a campaign to do some one-on-one caring for a family.
